Digital Art
After doing Rogue Symmetry for a few years, I started to grow bored with drawing comics and began drawing weird faces. It became a whole new endeavor which I initially called, 17th Radish. Here are just a few of my favorite digital artworks. Unfortunately, during file moves and changes, I've lost the exact date that I drew most of these, so this order is just my best guess. It's definitely not correct though.

Campaign Season
Just in time for the 2024 Presidential Election, here is my art called, "Campaign Season." A bunch of stupid mouths yapping about nonsense...

A Spiral of Silly Creatures
All connected by some weird intestine tongue looking thing, these creatures of all sorts are very pleased that you're looking at them. So I am. Thanks.

Colored Creatures
Here is another pile of creatures and monsters and aliens that fell out of my head. Just like real life, there are happy ones, sad ones, scary ones, silly ones...

Faces Upon Faces of Many A-Sort
Drawn from March 29th - April 6th, 2023. I just couldn't stop with one face on this one. So there are aliens, ghosts, creatures, monsters, worms, and even a cow...sort of. Lots of fun following their necks around the drawing. Please zoom in on this one and look carefully.

Offer Your Light
I've emerged from a self-imposed darkness and am accepting The Light once again.

The Experienced Skater
All the young skaters at the skatepark were amazed when this middle-aged dude showed up and proved to be the best among them. Also, his decks have pretty great art. haha.

You and Me and the Coffee Makes Three
My Grandma Ruby always told us not to talk to her until she's had her morning coffee. I'm sure she was a subconscious influence on this drawing.

Hindsight
I was looking at some contemporary artwork that was being praised online. Me, being the grouch I am, scoffed at how ugly and simple it was and set out to make something just as bad. So, I did this. But, I have to admit, I like this!

A Sunset, Once Rural
I am no great fan of large cities and development. The frustration of my surroundings being covered in cement comes out in this artwork. The poem was completely impromptu. I didn't expect to write anything but all the words popped into my head almost at once.

Psychosis Through Screen Time
I started this drawing on Aug 31, 2019. I didn't realize it at the time (since I never ever plan what my drawing will look like) but this would be a drawing that I worked harder on than any I'd ever done. I actually took time to make everything look good enough to find satisfaction within myself. I tried to learn new techniques to make sure it didn't end up disappointing me.
The theme stemmed straight from my Converting the Chaos. It's the process of consuming and digesting all the negativity we are forced to absorb every day of our life.
I knew I wanted to colorize it, which I eventually did, but I didn't realize it wouldn't be done for over two years!! I'm very proud of this one.

Rainbowonic Arachnid
Spiders are one of the most beautiful animals on this planet and I had such a good time drawing all the details on this one.

The Snail (Not Matisse)
I did a whole series of droopy eyelidded little creatures (frog, hippo, and a couple more) but this snail was easily my favorite. I tried so many variations on his shell but really love what I finally ended up with.

Black As Metal
The very talented guitar writer/songwriter, Nick Hill, contacted me and asked if I would do a drawing for his new single, Black As Metal. Looking back, I wish I had chosen a different color scheme, but... this is what I drew. Listen to the song here:

The Fan
August 3, 2019: Despite liking some music and art that have some pretty twisted themes, I am a pretty prudish individual. So for me to draw breasts on one of these creatures was actually something that I found difficult. I really like the way it turned out, but almost drew over them many times. But, after thinking about it, I realized they're in no way gratuitous, or in any way offensive. As a matter of fact, it kind of makes me laugh at this point. Ok, so I decided to keep them. Now that the decision's been made though....I'm finding similar trepidation with actually sharing this drawing.
As far as the art itself, it's basically a fan (on the right) drooling over their favorite singer and the singer is all too ready to soak up the attention. I decided that a few weeks after the drawing was done.

Inked 2
I drew this on April 12, 2019. I really like the ink in my last posted art and wanted to kind of duplicate that style. While I think this one falls far short of satisfying me in the ways that the last one did, I still enjoy this one.

Inked 1

Converting the Chaos
March 30, 2019. Take all the negativity that you see online and TV. All the hatred and depression, the insecurities you hear in music. All the division and tribalism, outright lies you ingest through the media. Take them all in, digest them, and expel them as something positive and beautiful. Or better yet, don't let that garbage in your head in the first place.

Mushroom Jelly
October 29th, 2018. I don't partake in drugs or anything, but this little worm sure looks happy with his decision to eat up the shroom jelly.

Tribal Crooner
I drew this Tribal Crooner on September 23, 2018. I don't know if it's the colors or the beautiful orange suit, but this is absolutely one of my very favorite things I've ever drawn. I hope that you find him as beautiful as I do.

Shut Up, Neighbors!
May 2018:
This is me lying in bed, unable to sleep, while the neighbors have a good ol' loud time in their backyard. When this happens, I fantasize about hurting them, but in reality I am too passive to even go ask them to quiet down. So I just lie in bed murdering them in my mind.

My Beetle
I had a lot of fun drawing in the little details on this beetle, but I didn't add the three legs on its left for at least a year. I didn't think it would look good but always felt something was missing. So, I added them and immediately loved this drawing as a result.

Embryonic Royalty
Blood pumps into the baby...as of yet unborn...but this blood isn't just regular blood. It's royal blood. Thus ensuring this baby will be better than everyone else in the country.

Tribal Dancer
April 2018: As far back as I can remember, I've entertained the thought of going to Africa and just getting lost in the jungle. I don't pretend to have the skills that it would take to survive for more than 12 hours, but what's a fantasy if it can't be unrealistic?

The Tribals Masks Three
This was the first thing I really worked on with this Procreate app. It was a lot of fun to draw and I am really happy with how it turned out.

Tribal Couple
All my uploads until now were guesses on the year I drew them. They're definitely a bit out of order and missing a lot, but this is the first one where I know for sure when I drew it. From this post on, I should be pretty accurate. This was January 2017.
The man on the left, an archeologist, fell in love with one of the tribeswomen whom he was studying. They ended up having a traditional tribal wedding and moved back to his home in New Jersey. She was not impressed with life in the city and it drove a wedge in their marriage. Last I heard, she went back home and he went to Nimibia and was never heard from again.
